So team India is through to the finals of Cricket ODI World Cup !! They overcome a tough and spirited New Zealand side. The 70 run win margin doesn't show the extent of fight. Daryl Mitchell scored another ton and ended with a 130 + score vs India ! He and Kane Williamson's big partnership threatened India at one time. Yet Shami - his 7 wickets, good catching by Rahul and Jadeja and well, India finally won by 70 runs ! Now they face the winner of Aussies vs South Africa match in the Finals! Earlier explosive start by Rohit Sharma, great knock by Shubman Gill, Great Innings and a record breaking 50 th ODI ton by Virat Kohli and a quick 100 + by Shreyas Iyer with 8 sixes, supported by K.L.Rahul led India to a huge score of 397 in 50 overs This had already made the Kiwis target very tough but what a fight they gave ! Now over to the Finals !!

So now, with a bit of luck, it might be India against Australia!! I hope our friendship will stand the tension!

@TraveOnWorld Well, Proteas gave a tough fight but once again Australia prevailed in another knockout (after 1999 and 2007). The final is at Ahemdabad where India face Aussies. Second time they both square up against each other in the finals and I think it could be a record of sorts !

The luck might be that you might need the SA team to freeze again and I hope for a massive change they actually don't freeze like deer in the headlights. It might just be an epic, will keep an eye on the screen for a bit

Hope to meet South Africa in finals rather than Australia.

Even I hope for the same. South Africa is a good team and it should get a chance to play their maiden World Cup Final

I was expecting a post from your side and I searched it on your profile page . I stayed glued to the TV and missed all online work.. Even the parents who bring children for my therapy session wanted a day off. Mitchell and Shami were the attraction point despite Kohli and Shreyas playing a splendid inning. Quite an emotional and overwhelming scene when Kohli bowed to Sachin. Hope that Men in Blue lift the cup on 19th.

@arunima25 We had to go outside and I was not pleased with my family for making it late. I missed seeing Rohit Sharma's innings! I however saw a lot of great cricket from Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Mitchell, Williamson and well above all, Shami !! Shami looks like in the same class as Glenn McGrath used to be in the early 2000s. Hoping for a big Indian win on 19th !!

@vandana7 With 23 wickets in 6 matches, Shami is already on the top. Plus he has become the first bowler to take so many wickets in a knockout match of the World cups.

Shreyas, Gill, Kohli, even Rohit were great with bat though.........Shami had more shine. Bhumra was unfortunate with Rohit missing catches...so sad. I always wanted Shami in the game...not Shardul. Had Shami been in the 11, he would possibly be highest wicket taker in this World Cup series.
