Firefighters in New York City rescue six persons who were inside of their homes

Firefighters from the Fire Department New York (FDNY) answered a call to put out a two alarm fire in Brooklyn New York on Monday night. The FDNY arrived on scene and doused the fire that was on the fourth floor of an apartment when the flames were blowing out in the hallway. The FDNY firefighters were able to rescue a male teenager and a woman were inside of the room where the firefighters rescued the couple who suffered from smoke inhalation. The couple as well as four other persons who were inside the burning apartment. The six persons who were inside the burning apartment were taken by EMS Paramedics by ambulance to Kings County Hospital, Brookdale Hospital and Nassau County Medical Center. A FDNY firefighter suffered minor injuries in the fire. The cause of fire is being investigated by the FDNY Fire Marshall's Office. No one passed away in the fire which is good news.
