I think my husband and I have decided on what the kids will get for their big Christmas presents. This is one we get for them that Santa won't be bringing. Yeah, we do save the big expensive present from him that wouldn't be very fair. 8 year old will be getting a video game. My husband will get it next week when he gets paid. 11 year old we bought him 3 Naurto action figures. I saw three different ones that he doesn't have and each are $10 so I'm wrapping all three together as his big gift since they add up to $30. 12-year-old I wasn't sure what to get her as a big present so I found online the little M which is the first letter of her name and it lit up. I figured that would be cool for her room. It's roughly the same amount as the boy's big Christmas present. The kid's Christmas books should be here today! I think I found their clothes present and put that aside to buy her soon. That is 3 gifts right three so that means 1 more that I need to get for each of them. I'm not sure what yet. Then their group present that is usually a new game for them to play (I mean board game or card game not video game.)

That sounds like they will have wonderful gifts! When my boys were growing up, we also gave them just one from Santa. That way, if we had a bad year, they weren't disappointed. Of course, Santa only lasted about 8 years but it was a nice tradition and they weren't overwhelmed with dozens of gifts, nor did they expect that many. I was looking in a catalog the other day from Lakeshore and saw 2 great games called The Allowance Game and What Should You Do?. $19.99 each. They are thinking and planning games that look like a lot of fun. I'm going to get my grandchildren The Allowance Game so they can learn about budgeting while having fun.

Yeah well, we have a lot of families and buy thing things for Christmas too so that is why we don't get them a lot of things. Knowing our other family members we will end up with more things by the end of the holiday. Santa also hits my parent's house every year for the kids.
