After the trip comes the oil change. Oh, well. I don’t mind keeping my car in good repair. With Hondas (and Toyotas [the one my sister-in-law has is 20 years old]) all you have to do is keep the maintenance up on them and they’ll last…and last…and last. Kinda like this countdown of “gonna” songs. Here’s today’s song. (We’re Gonna) Rock Around the Clock - Bill Haley and His Comets That’s right. The official title of the song has the parenthetical “we’re gonna” included. You can see it on the picture sleeve pictured in the screen grab. What can I say about the song. As for Bill Haley, here’s some trivia: he recorded what Kris Kristofferson described as his favorite version of “Me and Bobbie McGee.” How about that! Rock and roll doesn’t start right here, but it’s awful close! (We’re Gonna) Rock Around the Clock Written by Max Freedman and Jimmy DeKnight Recorded by Bill Haley and His Comets Released as a single, 1953 We’ll be right in seventh heaven:

Isn't that the song that they used for Happy Days? I remember it.

Even I am very familiar with this! lol We have a Toyota. It's only 12-years-old but they're renowned for going for years and years.

I was listening to a podcast about the top ten vehicles expected (by consumer groups AND mechanics alike) to log at least 200,000 miles/300,000 KM without a lot of maintenance woes….nine of the ten vehicles were either Toyota or Honda.

@FourWalls That's nice to know but I'm not really surprised. My little Hyundai was a great little car too.

Yup I know this one. You're right about Toyotas. I had a Valiant for my first car. Those suckers used to run for 200,000 miles. Have a great day.
