If that rain comes down when it is 49C (120F) it instantly drops the temp to a manageable 28C (82F), then a person can actually work. I was up in Rundu once and burnt my hands blisters with some zinc plating which was used to build a dog shelter. When the rains came, it was much easier to work.

When your weather is very dry the rains are appreciated. What crops do you have in your plantations?

It's wonderful to hear that the rain has arrived in Namibia, signaling the start of plantations for farmers. Working in the rain indeed brings a unique joy, and the experience becomes even more special when shared with family. The collaborative effort in farming during these times can create lasting memories and a strong sense of unity. May the rain continue to nourish the land, and may your plantations thrive. Wishing you a successful and bountiful season!

Working in rainy season is something special and its creates a good working atmosphere for the farmers. But heavy rain creates lot of problems for the farmers. What is the main crop that you cultivate.?

Are you based in Kavango? Then I can imagine you are happy for the rain, for that heat to be broken a bit! You plant millet and tomatoes also? Hope you can enjoy the fruits of all the labour soon!
