Its school holiday here. The schools closed for two good months. November and December. And there is a bonus week on January because they will open after the first week. I had to keep my young one busy. He has been having chess lessons for the last 2 weeks. This is the last week for the same. The class starts at 9AM. I have to drive at my sisters and pick up his cousins so that I can drive them to class together. I will be back to continue here. See you then.

That's a long holiday and you have to plan well to keep the young ones occupied for such long vacations.. Chess class sounds interesting. Hope that he is enjoying it.

@Missmwngi We all enjoy our long vacation. I work in a school and I feel equally happy like students for summer vacation or any break longer than weekends

Here our winters and summers are not harsh so programs keep running the same. We do school holidays on April ,August and December. The length of the last on depends on the national exams going on for the candidates.

Good on you for the chess lessons. Hope the young ones can keep themselves busy also for awhile in that long holiday. You have your young ones helping out around the house as well?

Ooh yes. Helping around not only keeps them busy but teaches them to be responsible.

It's great to hear that you're keeping your young one engaged with chess lessons during the school holidays! It must be a rewarding experience for him to learn and enjoy the game. Coordinating with your sister to drive the cousins together sounds like a smart and efficient plan.
