Deputies from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) answered an emergency call from a concerned animal lover who saw a deer who had the bad luck of having his antlers trapped around barbed wire in a forest in Wisconsin even though which city was not mentioned. The names of the CCSO deputies were not released to the public did use bolt cutters and an electric saw to release the deer who the deputies estimate was trapped in the barbed wire for a period of two days and nights. The deputies were able to free the deer from his trap as the deer walked away into the forest grateful for the rescue by the deputies. Link is upi.com/4441700169247 via @upi

It's Wisconsin. It's deer season. I can see the next headline..."Venison Stew Literally Delivered Itself to the Pot."

I know what you mean that the poor deer must have been in severe pain being stuck in the wire for two days.

That poor deer, looks like someone would have seen he was trapped in the barbed wire before two days.

The poor deer! I hope it's OK. Two days is a long time to be trapped.

That is true that a deer being trapped in barbed wire is a very long time to be trapped.

Somebody tried to free a baby kangaroo from a similar fence once here, and the mother kangaroo, thought that she was harming the joey, when she was trying to free it, and the lady got severely injured, by being kicked by the mother kangaroo. The animal lover did the right thing to call in the professionals to rescue the deer

@Deepizzaguy It wasn't the joey that was hurt. It was the lady, who was trying to rescue the joey from the fence that got kicked, and scratched badly, by the overprotective mother kangaroo, not realising that the lady was trying to free the joey from the fence, not hurt it.

Sorry to learn about the joey being hurt by his mom while the joey was being rescued by a stranger.
