Who else enjoys crocheting afghans?

No that it's starting to get colder out and winter is starting to creep in I'm looking forward to making some afghans. I'm about to finish up a dc ripple afghan for a good friend of mine as a surprise gift. The one I'd like to start afterwards is a cable throw. I love the looks of crocheted cables so this one caught my eye. I tend to stick with ombre colored yarns but I think cables show up better with solid colors. Now to decide on a color. So how many crocheters are out there and would like to share their projects?

I haven't crocheted in years although I still have a partially done bedspread in ecru... I got so busy online and just haven't picked it back up again. I hope you're having a good evening.

Maybe it's time to pick the project back up, finishing it would so much more rewarding than anything that's online. I'm trying to spend less time online and spend more time doing other things.

@crochetkid I enjoy the online things I'm doing... more than I enjoyed crocheting.

My mother tried to teach me to crochet but I either couldn’t or didn’t want to. I sew and quilt but I don’t crochet. My mother loved it.

Yes my mother tried teaching me and it just wouldn't sink in. But several years later it just made sense and I've been nonstop ever since. I did try quilting and it's just not my cup of tea. But neither is knitting.

@crochetkid I learned knitting and made a few sweaters but it’s been so long I’ve forgotten.
