What usually wakes you up?

Some of you, especially those who still work, will say an alarm wakes you up. Maybe some of you are like me, and you automatically wake up around the same time naturally due to years of previous times you woke up for a job or school.
One of my aunts told me she wakes up at the smell of coffee, which she has on a timer. Too bad you can’t do that automatically with the smell of bacon.
I used to wake up with my dog, Sherlock, on my chest, just watching and waiting for me to show movement so he could start making noise. That was a great way to wake up!
So how do you normally wake up each morning?

I wake up on my own, though sometimes later than I care to.

My body clock just tells me to wake up early! I haven't slept well for over a decade . . . I literally wake up every 2-3 hours (at that time, I think it's my own head gears that gets me up). And no matter what, my body won't allow me to sleep in ever. I rise with the sun!

I wake up a 4am as I usually wake up at that time for my yoga exercises but my dog wakes me up when I am late by resting his chin on my hands or body.

@AmbiePam Yes, he looks very cute then. He wakes me up as he wants his chew sticks and warm milk early in the morning.

I naturally wake up at about 5 minutes until 5 a.m. If I have to work I get up.Alarm goes off at 5. For just in case, I have one set at 6 as well. Sometimes I get to go back to sleep. I rarely sleep past 7 a.m.

I usually wake up when my alarm clock goes off or when I have to go the bathroom just after sunrise.

I'm up all night; so I really don't "wake up" at a specific time. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Usually it's pretty spontaneous, though noises from other people's activity (like my son getting ready for school) are good wake-up calls.

As a staff member in company,i wake up when the alarm clock went off each weekdays. But on weekend,i can wake up naturally around the time when alarm clock goes off.Maybe i don't need alarm any more, but having alarm is more relieved.

I mostly wake up as soon as I sense sunlight. But have an alarm as backup. Sometimes though the backup does not work as intended... Wife gets up about an hour after me, she has this auto clock that never fails her
If I eat too much salt in the day, its a getup in the wee hours

Sometimes the smell of coffee wakes me up as my daughter drinks it. But it makes me nauseous.
I wake up naturally on my own time, but sometimes if my watch is near my head the vibration will wake me up. It is in sleep mode until 10:30 so no vibrations before 10:30. But it does vibrate when sleep mode is turning off, and then if notifications come in after that. I prefer to wake up on my own since I have so much trouble sleeping. My goal for 8 hours of sleep at night is not reached very often (though I did it last night).
