Continuing my exploration of Native American Heritage Month and the many interesting aspects of this part of America I am doing all women this time around. Here are a few Native American women and their contributions down through the years:
* Sharice Davids made history in 2018 as the first Native American woman to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the state of Kansas.
* Sacagawea, a Lemhi Indian, was only in her teens when helped Lewis and Clark and their expedition explore the Louisiana territory.
*. Meant to evoke the grace and dignity of traditional First Nations women, the Buckskin dance in Powwow dancing is one of the oldest forms of Native American dance.
* A prominent engineer, mathematician, and member of the Cherokee Nation, Mary Golda Ross is known for co-writing the NASA planetary flight handbook about space travel to Mars and Venus.

@celticeagle I can't remember what tribe my friends belong to. They are gone to heaven now. They got oil payments that made their life better. I was happy for them.
