After a long time; after moving out of the Maze of Sports(mainly Cricket) and day to day stuff, here is a personal Novel Review by me.
Novel: Lost Light
Published : 2003
Author : Crime Fiction Writer and awards winner Michael Connelly
I accidentally saw this book at a Bookstore and with an intent to diversify my Book base, I got hold of it.
Well, it did not disappoint me.
Plot in Brief
______________
Ex-LAPD Cop Harry Bosch is not of the mindset of a lazy retirement.
Plus a Four year old unsolved horrendous murder has him feeling restless.
So up comes a private investigator's license and his foray into an investigation that lands him in conflict with the Cops and even FBI.
Twists, turns and surprises are in store.
It all ends with a shocking discovery but well, justice is delivered and the guilty punished.
Personal Review
________________
I was of the belief that a "realistic" portrayal of events or characters in Fiction work does not leads to any Fun or Entertainment.
Yet it seems like Michael Connelly has a sublime way to keep the story so engrossing and gripping that even an arguably biased reader like me cannot wait to delve further and further.
It is one of the best Crime Fiction work I have ever read.
The character of Harry Bosch has simplicity amidst all the chaos and complexity around but well, there is nothing predictable.
A page turner, as rightly said by a few newspapers.
I am longing to buy and read more of his works.

Yes and this book showed to me that even realistic stories could be written in a way that makes them enjoyable and interesting to read.
In the next few months, I am thinking of diversifying a bit more in terms of authors that I read.
