Have to do it

I have to go back to trying to do some Physical Therapy exercises, if I can remember them. It helps, and I know it does, but it takes me away from other things I would rather do. So, before I go to work today I will spread a blanket and lay in the floor and stretch my muscles, my back will thank me for it. What do you do that you would rather not take the time for?

To be honest? Just about everything. I just want to BE... like the lillies of the field... a nice, warm and sunny field.

Yes, that would be nice. I am pretty sure part of my aches and pains right now are from the cold weather.

Clean PT sounds like a good use of time though

I know, if people ask if I exercise or workout, I say "no", but wrangling kids all day and going through the halls is exercise. All the things you do are exercise as well. You work hard.

@GardenGerty I do deliberately walk most days. Especially in the colder months when I am not outside doing as much

I should do chair exercises; but I just don't feel like it. I hope the PT helps you. Have a great day.

I hope something helps. There is a chair exercise class at the Sports and Aquatics center, but I work, so I cannot do them.

Do you like yoga? There are other exercises and activities I like, but I do not like taking time out for them.

I'm agree with you. Little action therapy that every one can do it most and no much energy to do it. Just stay lay your body and up your knees to give your back spine in relax mode.

@DaddyEvil it’s been 5 days since you were here. I know you had your vaccine and I hope you feel well enough to come back to myLot soon.

I know how you feel! I miss so much going to the gym and doing my Physical Therapy exercises. I need them back, so I can get control of this pain again. You really do need to take the time to do them for your own physical and mental health.

Something seems to be helping. I also learned some more exercises online. It only takes a few minutes. I just need to prioritize.

It doesn’t take long for me to do, but I’d rather not dry brush. My acupuncturist recommended it, and I think it helps, but I keep remembering it right before I go to bed, and I don’t want to wake myself up. Back exercises are far more tedious though. My sister is doing some back exercises her physical therapist recommended, and she notices a difference like you do.

I get a really nasty tight muscle in my sciatic area, but they actually said it is a back problem. I need to give myself a chance to do some exercises. What exactly is dry brushing? I have an idea, and I know I can also look it up.

I never thought of myself as having a "back problem" but that is what PT calls it. It is mostly on one leg and goes from above my hip clear down my calf.

I keep telling myself that, but I need to take that time for me if I want to continue caring for others.

I hope that the exercises help your back. For me, it would be doing more exercising. I don't do nearly enough everyday.

It is a hip, sciatica thing. I do also get muscle spasms in my back when I move wrong.

I used to like doing yoga - meditation. It helps me to have good sleep. Did you know when I was attending the course, I used to fall asleep during the class and their "sha-vasan" for 2 mins used to be my sleep of 2 hours. I started avoiding it.
