Google will be deleting accounts this week that have been inactive for 2 years.
Life expectancy rose in the US in 2022 from 76.4 to 77.5 due to fewer deaths from COVID-19.
Dubbed the world's saddest elephant, Mali spent almost her whole life, around 40 years, alone in a pen at the Manila Zoo. Even Sir Paul McCartney requested that Mali be transferred to an elephant sanctuary. Animal activists complained about the care that Mali received at the zoo. The day before she died she was rubbing her trunk on the wall which is a sign of pain. This breaks my heart.
A woman has filed a lawsuit after allegedly finding, and chewing on, a piece of a human finger in her salad at the Chopt Restaurant in Mount Kisco, New York. According to the lawsuit, the manager cut a portion of her finger off while chopping arugala. Yikes!
The news reported 11" of s**w for our area; but the plow guy says we got 5-6". I don't know if it s**wed any more after that.
It's a long story; but I'll make it short. My TV died; and the model that I want won't be in for at least 2 weeks because it's out of stock at the manufacturer. So I will have to share with hubby who watches programs I don't care for; however, he said he'd let me watch 90 Day Fiance and Married at First Sight!
111 days until spring.
Breakfast - None
Lunch - Meals on Wheels didn't come because of the s**w; so I had turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, a corn muffin and cranberry sauce.
Dessert/Snack - PB&J sandwich and decaf coffee
Dinner - Turkey sandwich
What did you eat yesterday?

@LindaOHio I have read she had to go to the hospital... but I suppose that with the piece of finger A LOT of blood should have been in the salad. This is why I think the woman is only trying to get some money.

Wow! 84.11 years is great. She just cut off a part of her finger. She had to go to the hospital.

@LadyDuck The restaurant should have thrown out that whole batch of food.

CTS for lunch as usual and chicken, hash browns, and some pears for dinner. (Technically, the pears were dessert.)
Since I’m meeting my brother today I’m having another chicken taco salad…just in a different Chuy’s.

@LindaOHio — it tastes like a salad with fajita chicken and tortilla chips on it. And honey mustard dressing.

With all the episodes of 90 day Fiancé running you might be holding his tv captive Hope you can get your new tv before the 2 weeks.
Last night we had meatballs and spaghetti. A nice change from all the Thanksgiving leftovers.

@LindaOHio How odd. I have never had a finger in my food. I did have hair in a Hostess HoHo once.

The manager had to go to the hospital. They should never have served that food.

You would think the cook would cease all serving until the finger was found. I mean, in food manufacturing you so much as saw a moth, you stopped the line and called the lab. lol
For dinner I made a turkey fried rice with some of...you guessed it, leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. lol

That's the way it should be. They said they have no idea how many servings of the tainted lettuce was served. Yuck! Turkey fried rice sounds good.

@LindaOHio That would be a horrifying find. As for the cook, what an idiot.

@porwest It was the manager which makes it even worse. All that food should have been thrown out.

Sorry about the TV being out of stock, but that is nice that he will share.
Sounds like interesting meals, as always. I had a chicken sandwich, and then later chicken with mac and cheese.

That finger incident is just gross and the restaurant should be closed. Let's not talk about the elephant I am all chocked up. I had chicken tenderloins and rice. Let me give you a tip if you make tenderloins yourself a great an juicy way is to dredge them in mayonnaise and then breadcrumbs and sauteed on both sides in a non-stick pan with a bit of olive oil,

Thanks for the tip. The restaurant should have thrown that whole batch of food out. Yes, Mali's story is a heart breaker.

It's a standard rule of a commercial kitchen, if there is a cut you are to throw all the food away anywhere near where it happened. I cannot imagine discovering I was chomping on someone's chopped off finger.

Unbelievable that they were not forced to shut down and deep clean. Blood is a contaminant.
