Here is the finished frog painting. I hope you like it. So, since my last post, I painted in the stem, then I added some details to the leaves. After that I did the frog. I thought the main body of the frog was a bit too bright to begin with, so I went over it again and made it darker. I waited for that to dry before I painted in the darker parts of the frog (the parts in shadow) and his red leg. While I was waiting for the body of the frog to dry, I practised painting rain on a spare piece of acrylic paper. When the body of the frog was dry, I painted in the darker (shadow) areas, and the red leg. Then I started trying to do the rain. I don't know if you can see the rain in the photograph. Then I called it finished. I don't think the background came out quite how I wanted. It's not too bad, but I would have liked it to have blended more when the different shades of green meet. But I guess that's easier done with watercolour than acrylic. Anyway, I hope you like him. What have you lot been getting up to? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.
