Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group formed in 1990 which achieved worldwide success with the release of their first album "Happy Nation" in 1992. It was later reissued as "The Sign" and certified 9x platinum in the US. "The Sign" turned out to be the best selling album of 1994 and spawned 3 #1 singles, one of which was "The Sign" released in 1993. It was written by band member Jonas Berggren. It's a techno, reggae, Europop and pop ballad. The song is about a couple contemplating the state of their relationship and the fact that they have decided to split up. "The Sign" hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Photo Credit: Wikimedia Commons (We are having another photo problem. The photo was of Ace of Base.)

Not my taste in music but have heard this song. I think the best music was written and recorded in the 60's and 70's.

That's my favorite too. That's the only radio station that we listen to. The Oldies.

I know half of the words by heart. It was during my school years, and I loved this song.

Oh yes, I do remember this song! I was thinking of another song "All That She Wants". They played both of these songs on the radio A LOT back then!

I know it well, our son used to play that song quite often when he was younger. It is a catch tune.

I have never heard of the Swedish band Ace Of Base. I have heard of ABBA since they had some great songs in their prime era.
