1 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day, but as I say every day, it's always a good day. I'm thankful I slept in this morning. I got up at 4 instead of 3. I know most of you are telling me that's not sleeping in. For me it is. I'm thankful for spending time with you today and getting the notifications done three times, maybe four. I'm thankful for the exercise I got today. I rode the bike in the community room for 8 miles during the exercise workout and walked the halls of the building for the rest of my steps. I'm thankful I went to the bank this morning. I decided not to go shopping. I'm going to talk to my son about my car. I'm hoping it only needs brake fluid. The pedal is going almost to the floor before it fully stops, though it does start to slow before then. I have brake fluid. I just have a hard time opening the hood. I'm thankful for the work I did on Wilderness Challenge. I have less than a hundred pages to go. I'm thankful for December. My favorite month, my favorite season, my favorite holiday. There's nothing not to love about December. Hot chocolate, snow, crisp cold air, the beauty of a winter landscape. It's all so beautiful outside. Inside, it's nice and toasty warm. I wish I had a fireplace, but those apartments are more than I make a month. Inside there are holiday decorations, Christmas trees all shiny and bright with beautiful ornaments and glistening lights. Add to that all the holiday favorite movies old and new. Yes, I'm thankful for December. This year flew by as I knew it would when I watched the countdown last January first.
