How tall is your Christmas tree?

Mine is small, only 4 feet, but planning to go away for Christmas unless there is a blizzard or something. Always a possibility in NW PA.Anyway, I don't have cathedral ceilings in here but ifI wanted to I could put at least a 12 foot tree in here I think. My neighbors have one that is at least that tall. It looks great with all the lights. I will contemplate getting a bigger tree at some point. I have had them in the past. Sorry, had cute pic didn't post.

I have a tiny tree because I gave my four foot tree to my niece three years ago.

@AmbiePam Yes, 7 ft is big. My parents used to put up a big one back in the day.

I have a 6 foot tree and there's no way I have the ceiling height for a 12 footer. Sometimes I wish I had the space for a larger tree but I would probably need someone to help decorate the top part of it. I can barely mange to get the tree topper on my 6 footer

That's what grandchildren and step stools are for! I think a 12 footer would probably be almost touching the ceiling in here, but it would probably be doable.

@snowy22315 if I had a 12-foot tree I'd have to cut hole in the ceiling and the top half would be in my bedroom. Hummm maybe that would be the solution to getting the top part decorated

@dodo19 There is a Christmas tree seller near me and they do a booming business this time of year. You have to have a reservation to get in!

I regret getting rid of my 5 foot tree and getting our 7.5 foot tree, it is just too massive for us. We are just 2 people and our place is smaller now that we live in and that little 5 foot tree would be excellent. But we won't have this tree forever, and when we decide to replace it, we will go shorter I think.

I think 5 feet is a good size.

@snowy22315 It was ideal, some years I used to put it up on a little cocktail table if we needed more space under it for gifts and 1 year I set up the nativity set under the tree, it looked so pretty.

@LadyDuck I just put my Christmas tablecloth on yesterday. I would love to put on a poinsetta on there, but I am certain Nico would not leave it alone, and they are mildly toxic to cats.

@snowy22315 - I decorated the tall Christmas tree downstairs in the family room. We are reorganizing that room, so this year we are not going to have our Christmas lunch and dinner there. I decorated the dining room upstairs and used the small tree placed in a corner of the room on top of a small table.

Ours in only about four feet but it's sitting on the hall table so it looks okay. We'll actually be away for Christmas so we didn't feel like lashing out on anything bigger. There is no room for it here anyway.

@JudyEv Mine is a bit on the skinny side, but oh well. I just found my second small tree in a box. I might put it up in the bedroom. I had a platform to put it on, but now something is on top of it..I will have to try to scout out a place..or I might just leave it where it is.

@snowy22315 It looks pretty good - not too 'mean' or skimpy.

I’m not sure I would bother putting a big one up if my kids were all grown and out of the nest. I think a smaller one like you’re saying would be better at that point. Less work to set up and decorate but enough to make it feel cheery. My husband plans to get a real tree soon. I’d rather use my artificial!

Of course I don't usually agree with your hubby but a real tree would be nice for your daughter.

There's always a certain magic in the air during the holiday season, regardless of the tree's size. If and when you decide to get a bigger tree in the future, it'll be a fantastic opportunity to create even more festive memories. Do you have any favorite ornaments or theme that you'd love to showcase on a larger tree?
