This is unbelievable

I was scrolling through IG and stumbled upon a post that said a guy in Vietnam was having severe headaches for a while and when he went to get checked out in the hospital the CT scan showed that he had a pair of chopsticks in his skull. He was very surprised to learn about that and had no idea how it happened. How in the world did a pair of chopsticks end up in his skull? That is certainly a mystery. I'd assume someone had to stick them all the way up his nose for them to end up in his skull. But then he'd know it happened. I am sure he'd feel it if it was done to him.

That is totally crazy! I have used chopsticks all my life . . . I would definitely know if a pair got shoved up my nose - or even through my ears! Did it happen while he was drunk or something? There's just no way .

The guy remembers getting into a fight when he was drunk and being stabbed in the face with something.

If he did it he certainly didn’t say it. He was very surprised to learn he had chopsticks in his skull.

@LindaOHio Thank you! During this holiday it's traditional to eat potato latkes and also sufganiyot, which are jelly-filled donuts.

That sounds like one of those scam stories, but in this world, I guess insane things can happen.

@lovebuglena The only thing I can think of is that he had previous surgery, and some sicko doctor put them there. But wow, does that sound impossible.

@AmbiePam That would be crazy if that were the case. But is it even possible shove the chopsticks up one's nose and into skull?

I found this post on the page of my local news channel so on some level I believe this actually happened. Why would they report it if it wasn't real? But it sounds unbelievable.

@lovebuglena How can anyone put some chopsticks in your skull without your noticing it?

@marguicha I don't know. Unless maybe you are so drunk or so high that you don't realize what's happening to you.

I know there are some surgeries that can use chopsticks, but that is a big thing to just...lose in a person. That is wild!

What would chopsticks be used for in a surgery?

@lovebuglena Anything to do with the throat I believe! Endoscopy, I think removing the tonsils. It is known as the chopstick technique.

I do not believe that this is true! How could he "not know" if someone stuck chopsticks in his skulls. He had to know, it's not something that may happen with no pain.

@lovebuglena I made a search, found the news and found the medical x-ray photo of the guy. It was two short piece of chopstick, the piece penetrated through his nose up into his skull. He was treated after the fight but in the ER they did not notice something was stuck up to his nose.

I doubt my local news channel would post it if it wasn’t true. And someone else said they saw this on other sites too.

I checked and I think it's legit, because it is picked up by many major news sources as well as different city ones. I can't imagine...just can't.
