I Am Amazed

While I was doing my first walk I noticed this lovely hyacinth bloom on my water hyacinth. This is the first time I have ever seen them bloom in the house. They are looking great yet too. So I am starting to get hopeful that I can keep them alive this winter. I really hope so.
I did the dishes today. They are completely caught up including the ones from dinner. I also got Monster's room picked up this afternoon. I threw a few things away. But most just needed put where they belong. This means that I have nothing to do tomorrow. I might walk over to visit the neighbor if she is home then.
I will spend the rest of the evening crocheting and relaxing. Hope you had a good day.

@wolfgirl569 I should put them inside in a large basin full of water, a lot better than our pond.

@LadyDuck That could help, especially if it gets lots of sun

They like to be crowded for blooming. Plus need lots of light. I have these in a south window and in the late afternoon I turn on 2 different grow lights.
Bundle up good. I hate shopping when it's cold

Aww what a little cutie. I love it when a seedling sprouts or a flower blooms during the wrong time of year.
I was lucky enough to get a December sprout myself.
Hold on, lemme get a pic
^ That's a beauty. Hyacinth is one of my favorite flowers.

@wolfgirl569 I believe it’s a pumpkin plant seedling. I can tell by the strong, fuzzy stem.
It came up about 3 days ago

@wolfgirl569 Definitely a pumpkin plant
It’s been moved to the plant room to get more sun. I love how it doesn’t even care that it’s the middle of winter

You do stay warmer than we do. I have tried for years to over winter a few in the house. I might have found the right combination of grow lights and sun this time.

I was thrilled to see it. Usually they die inside because of how much light they need

By it blooming I feel I have a chance this year. Usually I have to buy those each year

I love flowers. Roses are my favorite. But I don’t have a green thumb. You must have … to grow that beautiful flower.

Usually these die during the winter on me as they need lots of light. I have it right to have got a bloom.

Usually I can't get these through the winter. They need lots of light. Think I finally found the right combination of grow lights
