This is a special article to read that the children of the communities that were evacuated did for our soldiers for Hannuka before they were evacuated. This is very special. For those of you that want some information on our holiday of Hannuka which is spelled many ways in English and in Hebrew is spelled only one way. Let me know and I can find a link for you. In the meantime I would like those that can read my links to read this one:

I remember by father in law saying that Hanukkah is the most widely used spelling, while Chanukah is more traditional. We talked about Hanukkah with snowy the past days, she said it started on December 6, I was pretty it began on the evening of Thursday, December 7.

@LadyDuck You are right that Hannuka started on Thursday evening the 7th of December and it is over on the 15th and then we go into our Sabbat on that day. Your father-in-law was right in what he said about Hannuka and the two spellings.

@Beestring What they made were Hannukiot and that is what we use to light our candles for the holiday each night of it.

@RebeccasFarm It started Thursday night and goes till Friday of this week. It is 8 days. It is early this year and has fallen close to when you celebrate Christmas.

@jstory07 It was a gift to the soldiers to use to light the candles for each night of the holiday. That was very special what they did. They were thanking them for protecting them against our evil barbarian enemies. What they made were Hannukiot. We light Hannukiot on Hannuka.

@Bensen32 (27105) Thank you for all that but we are at war and this is not just a war that our soldiers are fighting but a war for the whole country and that means the sirens go off everywhere in the country and right after the sirens are finished the explosions come. No one here is safe and it is hard to celebrate our holidays until our soldiers and hostages come home and that means the soldiers that fell too so they can be buried properly and all the hostages that are still not released and I hope the babies and all come home safe.
