A big THANK YOU to MyLot for making payout early this month. I'm sure many members can use those dollars for the holidays. The Ohio House of Representatives passed a resolution 69-20 that urges Congress to stop changing the time twice a year. The House sent it to the Senate. The Uniform Time Act of 1966 says that states can change to Standard Time but not to Daylight Savings Time. A report shows that there is less crime when it stays lighter longer. A similar resolution passed the House in 2021 but died in the Senate. It would be so nice to have that extra hour of daylight in the evening. The Northern Hemisphere is set for a show with the Geminid meteor shower peaking between 10 PM ET Wednesday and 1 AM ET on Thursday. Pick a dark area where you can preferably see the horizon. As many as 120 meteors per hour can be seen around the globe. Powerball is up to $500 million. 98 days until spring. Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed pepper, mashed potatoes, Lima beans, biscuit, tropical fruit Dessert/Snack - Banana walnut muffin and decaf coffee Dinner - Protein bar What did you eat yesterday? Well, if we have more light in the evening, it means that it's dark in the morning and it's dark when kids go out to go to school. It's a decision to take, please those who love to go out late for amusement or please those who are obliged to go out early to work or to go to school. I do not care what they decide, but please stop changing.

@LindaOHio It is the change that is annoying. If they keep the same all year round, we all get the habit.

I prefer the time to be as it is now. I cannot stand extra daylight hours and suppose that has to do with my visual issues. For breakfast, I scrambled two eggs with some lettuce, onions, and sauerkraut. Lunch and dinner were homemade creamy wild rice and vegetable chowder. You know I couldn't care less about when spring begins.

I don't care which way we go with the time, as long as they vote one way or another to quit changing it. Pick one and leave it for the whole year. For dinner last night, I had a poké bowl from Bento. We drove around looking at Christmas lights, then stopped for a bite to eat while we were out and about.

@LindaOHio It was fun for the most part. The only disappointment was that one of the hospitals here in town that usually does a fantastic lights display around the pond on their property decided not to do it this year.

It would be so wonderful if we didn't need to change the clock twice a year. I hope it passes the senate in your state and all the other states follow suit. I'm always asleep when the meteor showers hit. I also live in a light polluted area, so even if I was awake, I still wouldn't see them. Darn! Do you like lima beans? Otherwise, your food looks good. My mother-in-law wanted to use up the lima beans she had and put them in meatloaf. It was the worst meatloaf ever. 9 days until winter. 13 days until Christmas. 20 days to 2024. Yesterday, I had Raisin Bran and a banana for breakfast. Salmon and a baked potato with sour cream for dinner. Homemade hot chocolate and a Dark Chocolate Dove Promise for dessert. The scale looked good yesterday. I'm hoping for the same today.

I would love for them to do that here too, with stopping the time change once it goes forward of course. Yeah kids go to school in the dark perhaps, but it still happens with the time change!

Yup. I like that extra hour in the evening. We have trouble driving in the dark.

@LindaOHio Yes it is nicer to have that. I don't have trouble or hate driving in the dark...but is depressing when it gets dark around 5 PM

My meals all seem to run together. I have made us overnight oats for the last two mornings. I had a can of chicken noodle soup for lunch because I did not have any spare left overs and did not want to make something. Tonight we had the other two pork chops with mushroom and onion sauce, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce. We have very little light pollution, so I wonder if I will easily see the meteor shower.

I don’t remember what I had yesterday. I had a major anxiety attack and everything was a headachy fog. (I’m better today.)

@LindaOHio I've got these bowl forms that make a really crunchy taco bowl. You just put the tortillas in the form and bake them. Yummy stuff.
