U S Coast Guard rescues 5 persons trapped in a flood in Washington state

Thanks to the actions of watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Columbia River who answered an emergency call for help from five persons who were trapped inside of their home in Rosburg Washington on Tuesday morning when the flood from the Columbia River trapped them. The U S Coast Guard sent to the house where the five residents were trapped inside a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter to rescue one person who was trapped inside of a truck that was surrounded by the flood. The U S Coast Guard then were able to rescue the four remaining persons who were trapped inside of the home that was surrounded by flood waters and take the five persons to the Coast Guard Air Station where they then taken to be given emergency medical services where they are in stable condition.
