Whoa...

Went to get the mail, nothing in it I'll probably keep, walked about half an hour.
Now to the "Whoa..." part--
Not long after my boss at the in-home daycare laid me off, I was looking for a job on line and on a whim put my resume into a site I can't even remember the name of. It had something to do with taking care of the elderly, I think.
That was however many months ago it was.
Today, while I was out, I got a text from a lady giving me her name saying she was from "Accent care" (I guess that was where I gave my resume? I think it was some big elder care company that covered a lot of places) and that she had seen my resume on MyCNA jobs (sorry, I'm getting all this as I look at the text on my phone, I guess "MyCNA" is the place I put my resume into) and that she was "excited to connect" with me regarding "the caregiver position." and if I was interested to text "Yes". I did, figuring I didn't have anything to lose.
During our texting back and forth, she asked how many days or hours I wanted to work, and I told her four to five days a week, 8:30-5, but somewhere around there I also let her know I didn't drive, and that I'd prefer to stay in Petaluma.
She said because of the things I said they would not be able to give me a full time schedule--but that is fine, and when she asked me if that worked for me I told her yes.
So, after all of our texting back and forth from the time I was out until the time I came home, now I have a Zoom appointment with this lady tomorrow at 11. I'll see how it goes. I do find it kind of odd that she contacted me because of my resume because 1) I think the job is elder care, and 2) there's nothing on my resume but childcare.

Best of luck to you!
The elderly and children aren’t that much different, if you think about it. Except the elderly who have their facilities can teach you a world of information through their experiences and memories.

I hope you get it all worked out on what the job
requires, cause these days it's hard to get a job.
