I'm legit confused! The acronyms my niece and nephews are using are like a secret code! I need to Google the meanings of acronyms like "slr," "idk," "tbh," "pov," and more. What are the acronyms your teens are using these days? I feel like I'm entering a whole new language zone. Hashtag: SOSforOldiesLikeME

I only know one of those: idk - I don't know. I don't know what pov is for them, but for me and the writing world, it's Point of View.

As we have no teens in the family I would be totally lost with those acronyms. I know idk because a young member used it all the time here "I don't know", it's even against myLot guidelines.

It's fascinating how language evolves, especially in the digital age. While "idk" might be a familiar one, there's a whole alphabet soup of expressions that I need to decode.. haha

I feel the same. Sometimes I feel annoyed of those people who posted those acronyms because they made me feel ignorant. My younger relatives laughed at me whenever I asked them. I only know idk (I don’t know), tbh (to be honest) and lol

Yep, even the key names are changing, seemingly this "#" is not the pound sign any longer, what rotAnd I had to find half of the ones you had in your post. The weirdest one is GOAT. Like being called a GOAT is a good thing

As for "GOAT," it's a bit of a head-scratcher. So, being called a GOAT is indeed a badge of honor now.

@thelme55 GOAT = Greatest Of All Time. Normally goats are quite stinky, but it seems that if a celebrity is called a goat, it's a good thing
