Crooked street of San Francisco

The normal practice is to mow down whatever comes in the way while building roads. But here is an exception. They preferred to have a crooked street than mow down whatever came in the way. That has become a tourist attraction and it was one of the sightseeing options when I was touring the USA. We did not experience a ride on that street - just as well - but spent a few minutes just looking at that weird creation. Image credit:

I remember my relatives and myself driving in an auto down the crooked street in San Francisco visiting relatives in 1972.

@allknowing I can imagine how weird a crooked street would be. I would stare at it too if I was there and saw it.

@allknowing ok. When I was in San Francisco it was summer and it was cold. I really liked it there.

I find it odd that they have still retained it.

For walking there could be a footpath there.
