Do you use your real name to receive products when you are shopping online?

It may be an interesting fact. Here most of us use the real name to receive products when we are shopping online. But in some countries, people prefer to use fake names to protect their privacy. Of course if the address is correct, it won't go wrong. What if the address is incorrect, then it may be a trouble to deliver the package to the right person.

It depends on the site. For the most part, I do use my legal name when shopping online. Even if it does cause confusion with the vet. Oops.

@youless The vet has my nickname on file. So, when I ordered Chilly's food from Amazon, Amazon asked permission using my legal name.

I do, they will mess your crap up if do not or more of a chance. Our gooses are cooked. These corporations know everything about us anyway. Their privacy policies are a joke. They have 10 ways till Sunday to get around their own privacy policy. The only thing people can hope for is I would not want anyone to do that to me, so I will not do that to them.

@youless Me too, but not holding my breath. They have it designed perfect for them not you or me or anyone.

I use my real name but most of my online shopping is done by my niece and it's her name that appears on the receipt, she's a student. It's hard to use fake names because the delivery people will ask for proof of identification

For online shopping with delivery, I use my real name and my real address. If a company wants other information for that type of transaction (like my date of birth, my age, my race, etc), I lie about that.
