Jakob Thompson who is a 17 teenager who was in Boynton Beach in Florida took action on the ocean to rescue a female who jumped into the ocean to retrieve a cellphone that she dropped into the water by mistake. Jakob jumped into the ocean who was being swept away by the fast moving currents since he knew that it was proper thing to do to make an attempt to save the female who could lost her life by drowning had Jakob not come to her rescue. Jakob was able to save the female by grabbing her taking her from the ocean and taking her back to the inlet where first responders were there to get Jakob and the female victim to the shore safely. The female victim thanked Jakob for risking his life by entering the ocean from the inlet and saving her. The female victim is expected to make a full recovery from her health scare in the ocean in Florida. Link is hawaiinewsnow.com/2023/12/16/wat...

Not smart to jump in like that but glad she was rescued, Did she get her cellphone? I think the smartest thing she could have done was call the Coast Guard explain the problem and see if divers could assist her in looking for the cellphone,

The report did not mention if the lady found her cell phone or not.

She should have forgot about the cell phone. I am sure she though it was easy to get it out of the water. It is good that she was saved.

I am in agreement with you that a cell phone can be replaced but not a life.
