Gas prices down again again again in California?

You probably heard former president Donald Trump say that gas prices were at $8/gallon in the US in a recent speech. He may be right, but it certainly isn't the case here in the Bay Area of Northern California. In fact, the price of Regular dropped to $4.19/gallon at my local station a day or two ago. Gas prices in over-regulated California tend to be high. We have additives, taxes, overpopulation, high demand, and probably other factors that keep the price high here, relative to Montana or Iowa. But I put in a few gallons today. One never knows when the decades-old upward trend in gas prices will reassert itself. Are gas prices still dropping where you live? If they are at $8/gallon where you live, let us know. I am all for fact-checking.

If it's not $8 here, it's not $8 anywhere . I filled up today at $4.69 per. It's still not much cheaper than that here although I did see some non-brand gas place for $4.49.

@TheHorse Oh yah, it hit $6 here as well. You have $8 on your post - that's why I was said that. I would have a heart attack if gas was at 8!

@much2say Trump says it is at $8 now. But he did not specify where. We don't have MyLotters in Alaska. I have no clue what gas prices are like up there.

Not here. We're starting to go up again. I saw it for $2.89 a gallon yesterday after seeing it at $2.79.

When you talk about gas prices l think of lpg gas. In my country we say petrol prices. Have learnt something today.
