I have to decide about getting a new Apple Watch

I've had one for about 5 years now. Mine is the Apple Watch 4 with cellular service. I absolutely love it but at this point it can barely hold a charge just to get through the day. I was thinking about buying a new one after I get my tax return but I just read that Apple will stop selling the newest version (Apple Watch 9) on Thursday due to some kind of patent or trademark issue with the oxygen meter. Obviously I would want to get the newest version of the watch. I texted my ex last night to ask him if he could help me set it up if I bought it. He hasn't responded yet. Normally I'd just ask my dad to help me but unfortunately that is no longer an option. I think I am going to just order it and hope that he can help. If he can't I'll see if the local ATT store can help. If they can't then I'll make the hour trek to Freehold which is the closest Apple store.

The ban is only affecting those models sold by Apple right now. Third party sellers like Best Buy will still have what stock is available, from my understanding, they just won't receive replenishments from Apple when they sell out. Probably best to get it sooner than later, though, since stock won't be guaranteed. For setting up these models it's mostly just a matter of putting it on your wrist, bringing it near your iPhone, then taking a picture of the watch screen's animation with the phone and following the prompts from there. If you have a recent backup from your Series 4 you can choose to restore from that instead of setting it up from new and save a lot of steps. You'll just need your Apple ID and password to sign into iCloud for that.
