Happy Wednesday Everyone! the sun is shining this morning and I'm just sitting here trying to decide what I want to do today. My daughter is still sick and is in bed. She really feels horrible and this is the second day she called out of work. For her not to work, she's really sick. She only got one of the prescriptions that the doctor prescribed as CVS said they didn't have the other one and had to order it. It's been two days and they still don't have it so they've been trying to get in touch with the urgent care for them to prescribe something else. Meanwhile she'll be better before they get whatever prescription is needed and it's almost pointless. Christmas is coming faster than I want right now because the whole family is supposed to be coming. I wish there was another week so I'm not so stressed. Everything always works out so I'm just taking it a day at a time and fingers crossed I don't catch whatever bug my daughter has.

I am very sorry for your daughter. What a shame that in two days they could not get the prescription. Try not to stress, because this does not help.

@Marilynda1225 - I am sure that your house is clean enough to receive people and you can order food if you cannot prepare for them this year. I hope they can give a different prescription to your daughter.

I'm trying not to stress but with company coming in a few days (or I hope so and we don't have to cancel) there's a lot to do and I move slow as molasses these days. I have no idea what kind of prescription the doctor ordered that the pharmacy doesn't have.

You better stay away from her. Aren't you having the meal catered like you did last year? That should cut the stress down some. I wouldn't worry. You can only do what you can do. Togetherness is the important thing.

She's staying upstairs so that I don't catch what she has. Nope, we decided to cook this year. Figures . It will all work out but right now it's up in the air if we'll do Christmas or postpone

@Marilynda1225 I was talking to my dad yesterday (he’s still sick), and when I got ready to leave his house I felt bad about not hugging him, but said the older I get, the more cautious about getting an illness I am. He said he’s the same way. A person just wants to avoid it because we don’t bounce back like we used to. I hope you are completely protected from it.

@AmbiePam I think we all learned how serious any cough, cold or illness can be ever since the pandemic. I still get covid jitters if someone gets sick

I feel so badly for both you as well as for your daughter. I hope that in time, with lots of fluids and rest, she will return to her good health. I hope that you are taking precautions not to catch it, taking vit D and washing your hands as often as possible. I agree with you that Christmas is creeping up quickly on us. I am really busy at work this week and that helps with the passing of time.

@Marilynda1225 I am glad that you are being so careful. Here, covid, the flu, colds and RSV are running rampant, for all that we have been through these past years we have to remain careful. I will keep your daughter in my prayers.

We're taking all the same precautions as we did with covid and the pandemic. Christmas will be here and gone in the blink of an eye.

I'm sorry CVS doesn't have the prescription she needs. I hope she feels better soon. It's amazing how Christmas and other holidays always work out. I'm sure you'll be ready before your first guest arrives. By the way, I wore the scarf yesterday and got lots of compliments on it. It's beautiful!

I hope CVS can get in touch with the doctor and get something else ordered for your daughter. It's so awful to be sick and then not to have the required meds is terrible. Good luck on that.

Yep sure enough, I had a issue with cvs with my sugar supplies that wouldn't work with me till I made a hissy IN THE store of just how I felt. I'll just say when I go to cvs now "they know who I am".

Ours will be a quiet Christmas but Vince is having lots of fun planning a menu. It won't be too fancy but he'll enjoy cooking whatever he decides. We'll be four for Christmas Day and six for Boxing Day. Then it will be all over for another year.

Sorry about your daughter. Two days is a long wait for prescription and that can be annoying. You are right that things eventually work out. Just stay relaxed. Hope your daughter feels better soon.

So sorry for your daughter. Not being able to get a prescription in days is worrisome and shouldn't be like that. Please calm down.
