Plans about the Tuesday challenge.

Although one should not make plans about selling the chicks before the eggs hatch, I always like to imagine a lot of what ifs about any sort of enterprise, no matter how small it is. Our friend @porwest has invited us to have a Tuesday challenge to start saving. He wrote about it in November but I like to start things at the beginning of something, so I started the challenge at the beginning of this month. I had an empty can of coffee and I decided that that would be my piggy Bank instead of an envelope. I had burglars twice at my house 3 years ago and the only thing that they left was some wisdom. They don´t get into pantries or bathrooms. And I have this coffee can that will not be interesting for them should they glance into the pastas, the flour and the cans of tuna and tomato paste. I used to have beautiful ceramic piggy Banks that I had collected from my trips. There I kept the coins. The burglars took everything, piggy Banks and all. And as they did not have a proper bag, they also took a beautiful big bag that Dixie had given me a couple of years before. So now the coffee can is waiting. I have the money in my bag as I did not have much cash and wanted money for the holidays. But I haven´t used it. And there it is.

I hope no one will look inside your coffee can. I used to hide cash inside my boots. I remember that one morning I thought my boots were terribly uncomfortable. Took them out, checked inside and I found money.

@marguicha It was quite a lot BUT it was in Italian Lira and we had switched to the EURO, so I had to go to the Bank to convert into the new currency.

Richer than what I get posting here, at least. But it all counts.

Burglars are weird. None of them were interested in my persian rug or in my oil paintings.

I hope your coffee can is a safe place. I'm sorry thieves took so many of your beloved items. Have a good weekend.

Coffee can, envelope, in an old shoe box, inside of an old, unused pot—no matter where it goes it's good to have it go there. And I hope you have fun with it, as I am sure you will, and thank you for the mention. It's a fun challenge and I think a lot of people can have fun trying it, so hopefully it catches on around here, and I will of course keep on mentioning it. Fingers crossed no burglars make a visit, and if they do, hopefully they don't want to try to make some coffee while they do their work. lol

I guess the burglars already had the information about your enveloped money. Anyway, it's good that they left a clue. Now you can enjoy your money.
