Even the haystack has been decorated

We did our Christmas food shopping today and on our way to the town we saw this star in a farmer’s paddock. It’s a lovely big star stuck in the top of some bales of hay, and is clearly visible from the road.
In other news from our state of Western Australia, there are multiple bushfires raging in the areas where we attended horse endurance rides. The whole area is home to many horse-owners and we’re hearing reports of horses on the roads trying to escape the fires.
It’s really hot here and with strong easterly winds, fire-fighters would be having an uphill battle trying to contain the fires. Christmas is certainly going to be spoilt for many of those whose properties are in the path of the fires.

That is an interesting arrangement of Star on top of Bales of Hay.
Sorry to hear about wildfires.
I think you should avoid road trips near such places as of now.
Besides, it would be near the time of extreme heat for you as well.
I hope that people, houses and the horses remain safe.

Thanks for the good wishes. No-one expects it to be much different each summer but it's still awful. With the financial state as it is, many can't afford to insure their houses and contents so it's a terrlble blow if they lose their house.

I like the setup of the bales of hay, looking like a tree with the star on top.
I'm sorry there are bushfires where the endurance rides took place. I hope the horses and people will be safe from the fires and the firefighters can get them under control and put out soon.

Thanks. I keep a careful watch here for any smoke. There is a ute (truck) in the shed with a full tank of water and fire-fighting hoses, not that we expect to use it. I'm really just saying that the farmer is prepared should there be a fire.

I guess someone looked at that triangular stack of bales and thought "Why not?"
Those wild fires are dreadful. Stay safe.

We have a lot of fires every summer. Unfortunately they are becoming more and more fierce.
