Hi my friends! I wasn’t planning on returning to myLot until sometime in January, but after replying to your sweet and wonderful messages after all this time, I figured I’d stop by to wish you a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
We are a family scattered all over the place. My younger son is in Connecticut. My older son is with his family in Turks and Caicos. And hubs and I are back in Florida with my brother and his beautiful wife. Being scattered doesn’t mean that we aren’t in touch multiple times a day. Once a loving, close knit family, always a loving, close knit family.
While I am here, I want to let you know that you have been in my thoughts since last April - my last post. We have all been well, but ultra busy having the best spring, summer, and autumn of our lives. So much to share. So little time. I will get back to you all little by little.
Off to enjoy Christmas dinner from my brother and sister-in-law and to respond to more photos from Turks and Caicos. They come in every few minutes. lol

Oh wow, have you seen your buddy osprey? I can't remember his name but I know you've always liked that fella.
I'll bet you'll have some really neat stories to share with us when the time is right.
EDIT: I will never learn, I should have read everybody elses responses, Orville is that impressive birds name

lol! Yes, my seahawk, Orville, is thankfully still alive and well. Hubs and I were so worried, because we hadn’t seen him for three weeks before we left Florida in April. I must admit, that he’s still showing off his fish and yapping incessantly, but it’s music to our ears. My grandkids, sons, nephew, and friends have all been introduced to Orville when they visit.
I have tons of stories, but so little time. I will try my best to be here to share them.
And, oops! I forgot to give you my phone number in our last message. Soon!

Thank you! I missed you and thought of you often. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and that you and hubs are both doing well.
Yes, Orville was out fishing the day we arrived. He immediately flew to us when I called to him. I was so happy and relieved that he was still alive and well. He spent the day in his tree watching us and singing. Love him!

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family! I am glad to hear Orville is still around, We lost my friend Leslie on June 20th my friend left us right on my Names Day. This is the first Christmas without her for Nick and the boys so it is a quiet holiday time. Besides that, Freddie, Morticia, and I are hanging in there and coping with a rained-out holiday. But then being here in Florida some rain mush has caught you as well. Looking forward to hearing from you again all the best.

Howdy partner and thanks so much!
The day we arrived, I saw Orville fishing. When I called him, he flew overhead and settled into his tree. He never bothered fishing and spent hours in the tree watching our every move. lol. I cannot tell you enough how grateful I was to see him alive and well.
Merry Christmas to you!

@DianneN You would deprive me of a hug I'm waiting impatiently for? Osteoporosis might be part of it, but my older son's abuse towards me is more the factor. He caused many broken ribs.
It was a shock to find another one broken. This time on the back instead of the chest where they normally are. It sounded like breaking glass to both of us. He apologized. Five weeks now until it's healed.

@LindaOHio I’m craving lobster and a big one, too!
There are fireworks all over town, and the ones we can easily view from our lanai are on a field nearby and across the water on a beach.
Enjoy your day, too, Linda

Thanks so much, and yes, I have been following the war since it happened. Actually, my friend’s daughter flew to Israel for a wedding on Oct. 5th. Obviously, the wedding was postponed. She had trouble getting a flight back to the US, but arrived safely.
