Sweet gifts from sweet friends

I opened the gifts that were under my tree and put down in my journal (something I've tried to do every year) what came from who. The Visa gift card was from my brother and his girlfriend (though mostly from his girlfriend, because I'm sure she does most of the shopping). The Santa bag came from my surrogate Mom at church and had the checked paper bag of candy and pencils, gloves, a pack of little tissue packages, hot chocolate, a little coin purse, and socks. Another lady from church gave me the scarf with tassels. A third lady from church gave me the kitchen towel that says, "Wake up and smell the coffee." Finally, a good friend from myLot (you know who you are) gave me the Bible verse tote. Christmas isn't about things, but every gift I received shows me that someone cares.
