Well, I made it through Christmas

It has been a tough day. I tried to treat it like a special day, but I ended up doing regular chores. One of which was doing the laundry (and my dishes. All five of them). I have worked some on a miniature teddy bear and played on the tablet and worked on the computer....and really worked on the computer as Petey decided to plant his fanny on the keyboard again and there was a LOT of stuff that I needed to correct. Boy was that tough! I opened the gifts from a super girl friend of mine. One of them was a container of incense sticks. I'm not allowed to burn incense in the apartment. Besides with the odd smoke detector I have it would spend hours blowing the alarm like crazy. The rest of the gifts were books and two had hand made plastic canvas covers that she had done for me. I love the covers and will eventually read the books, but it would have been nice to have something fun. My friend who gave me the books etc. called and bent my ear about her husband. He isn't exactly the greatest. He has had two affairs and asked a friend of his if he could have two wives. He's been married to my friend for 25 years and hooks up with these cute young things that help him spend his money. He hasn't wised up yet, and I doubt he ever will. He had better not come knocking on my door if anything happens to my friend, sorry I won't take on someone like him. I did buy myself a late Christmas present. There was a teddy bear magazine on Ebay that had a really cute bear pattern in it, I design bears as well as collect patterns so buying it was a given. The delivery date is January 2nd. Maybe I'll luck out and it will get here early. Well, I suppose I should get ready, I have a 1:45 p.m. doctor's appointment that I have to leave at 11:45 for. The bus schedule is running the Saturday schedule which means that it goes by every 2 hours. I'm not too fond of the thought of having to get there that early and wait, but it's either that or wait for 2 months for an appointment with the doctor. The doctors are that backed up and we are that short on good ones. Come to think of it, I may post the letter I wrote to the pain doctor about the Nurse Practitioner (PITA) and the clinic. I have to clean up some of the language, but it's kind of interesting. On that note, I am going to sew my ears together, and head for bed. I hope all of you had a fairly good Christmas. It kind of seems like this Christmas has been kind of blue and down for a lot of us...we can look forward to next year. L & H's from Toni, Petey and Freya
