Another Christmas Come and Gone

We wait all year for one exciting day. We plan, prepare, find the perfect gifts, and in moments it's over. Except for the memories. I'm sure many of you have lots of good memories with family and friends today. Maybe you spoke to a friend you haven't heard from in a long time. I tried, but my friend wasn't home. That's okay. I'm sure she was having a wonderful day with her family. You know Christmas isn't supposed to be just one day. When you celebrate your child's birthday, as we did Jesus' birthday today, you don't put him or her away until next year. No, you spend every day with your child. You see all the successes and attempted successes they make throughout the year. You praise them and love to be around them every day. Today, I was a little disappointed because I didn't spend it with my son. But only a little. I'm celebrating tomorrow. I will enjoy a fun evening with my son and his girlfriend. I'm making three sides for the dinner and bringing the cake. I'm not taking the cake out of the loaf pan. It really was an oops cake as mentioned in my last post. I knew I should have lined it with foil. Live and learn. I will say, it turned out well as for taste. I hope I can cut it tomorrow, otherwise I will be using a spoon with it. Either way, it's still good. I have a full day tomorrow. In the morning I have a chiropractic appointment, the Secret Santa reveal at 1:30 and my son is picking me up for Christmas dinner at 4. In between that time, I will try to be here as much as I can. I can't gurantee it though. Right now, it's after 9 PM. The dishwasher is running, and I need to get to bed. It was a good relaxed day. I watched two movies: White Christmas and Christmas Chronicles. I also put out flyers for the New Year's Day open house. I'm looking forward to that. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas today for those of you who celebrated. For those of you who didn't, I hope you had a good day. I'm sure for many of you, a new day has already started.
