I think I am doing pretty good for being 72 and having parents who both died of different types of cancers in their mid-70s. (I am keeping close track of me until I am 76. HaHa?) I have high cholesterol, am pre-diabetic, am taking Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism(underactive thyroid), am obese, and have arthritis and osteoporosis. I think these things sort of all coincide with my being overweight and out of shape and over seventy.
So, that being said-- I am going to try and lose some weight before I see my doctor in late spring.
I need to work on my social anxiety and start going downstairs and outside more after it warms up a bit.
I need to work on my mental focus and do more positive thinking.
I need to take better care of my physical body. Yoga and other disciplines.
I need to eat more fruit and vegetables. I try to eat healthy but need to do better. I have a real problem with veggies.
I need to get my kids on the same page.
What are my friends out there doing for their mental and physical bodies in the new year? Any ideas?

I gained a lot of weight during the pandemic, or maybe I am over 40. My body started to feel pain here and there too.
I figured out if I strenghten my muscle, I can get rid of the pains, especially my knee pain and some joint pains. So I need to work out consistently.
I need to do intermittent fasting as well, I am not sure if I can do 72 hour fasting, but I will go for 16 hours more frequently. I need to cut down sugar and starch intake. Not only because of losing weight, but hopefully to get rid of the toxic inside my body. There were some health issues found during my last medical checkup.
Thanks for this post. It helps me to plan out what I need to do in my health area for the new year.
Hope we all will have better health.

Each day, if I am feeling well enough, I walk around 3 miles..I need to walk more though say 5 miles.
I wish you the very best.
If I were near, I'd get you out of that room friend.

I am taking care of myself taking medicines for pre-diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol as well as doing exercises at home and cutting back on sugary drinks and foods.

I've cut down on the amount that I consume each day. It's hard to lose when you can't get around. I think your goals are excellent. Wishing you a good day.
