To find truth, takes discernment

A lot of mistruths, and lies, exist in our world, but when we find the truth, as it sits within God, we should honour it, and not change it to meet our own demands, our situation, or our own position, in our life.
You must remain true to God, in every facet, and stage, of your life.
To be able to do this requires discernment.
All through one's life, one needs discernment, the ability to judge what is truth, and what is not truth.
How do we discern what is for the best then?
We need to reach past the pettiness of human emotions to live only from love, which is no emotion, but the truth of God, living energetically in you, and so giving you right discernment, between what is loving, and non-loving, in your actions, thoughts, and deeds.
Right discernment must come forth from a heart of love though, rather than from a judgemental mind, basing its reasoning on clandestineness, and suspicion of motives.
Our minds too often look for faults, whereas our hearts look for encouraging ways to improve oneself, and others.

Don't get paltry about your discernment. Don't peck others with your judgements.

@innertalks Yes I get the meaning Steve.
I know it is an ability.
Of which I never had it..only survival mode is the priority here sadly.

Yes, l agree, discernment is about choice, and decision making. It is also a quality that we can develop that allows us to make better choices.
We can learn to discern the best choice, or action to take in a situation.
Discernment is also the ability to judge a situation properly and to see the truth behind the situation too.
We can also see somebody's true character when we have discernment.

Yes, I agree that truth is rooted in love, and truth without love in it, is never real truth.
The truth can set us free, but only if we have freed ourselves to love fully too.
Without love, we remain trapped in our own ideas of what we think truth might be, but it takes love to understand truth properly enough for us to be able to live from its wisdom, wisely too.

Yes, God supports us through thick and thin, and yet over our lifetimes, we should endeavour to grow in wisdom to enable us to make better choices as we grow older, and so our actions will then be, on average more good, than bad.
Proper choice-making takes discernment, and usually some higher help from God too.

Yes, the Holy Spirit, and prayer to God, can help us in our discernment in choosing what is the right God-supported choices, for our life.
We also need an element of personal discernment to be able to choose God's way, and not man's way, in our lives, as well.
Discernment helps us in wise choosing.

Thanks. We should try to encourage ourselves to live more positively, than just giving up, because something negative happens to us. We should try to positively move past all negativity in our lives.
We should try to learn from failure, and move on from it.

Thanks. Yes, a lot of people act too quickly without due consideration, or without discernment.
We need to be more thoughtful, and thoughtfulness, usually is best when love is backing it, for love always thinks of others, compassionately, and with understanding.

Thanks. I try not to judge others too, and listen to their point of view.
Happy New Year too.
