I stood up for myself

Yesterday the ladies niece came to my work at 7:30pm. She brought her aunt a portion of cooked lentils and was acting in agony.
Sat down and explained to me she wasn't feeling well, hadn't slept well the night and her blood pressure was high.
Then continued by asking if I could work today (friday) my weekly day off). Because she can't take over, as she's feeling unwell
I told her no, because I'm not willing to skip another Friday.
She didn't take it well and arrogantly told me... "you don't volunteer, you pull away instead"
And then said, "ok, it's clear that I can't count on you on these emergency times"
To be honest, I refuse to be available to her, when she speaks down to me like that

Well, you owe her nothing. Sorry for her issues, but this is not your responsibility..you were correct to say this.
