Hard to believe 2024 is almost upon us. The good thing I have all my bills paid for the month, woohoo, with a whopping 3 days left..although actually they were all paid yesterday. I can bask in the feeling of being debt free for a few days. . So do you have any big changes that will be popping up for you in 2024?

I paid all bills before Christmas, I like to spend the holidays without having to do online banking. I do not expect big changes for the coming year.

I think I will need to dedicate myself to making some changes for the new year..and I really do need to get another car.

@snowy22315 I remember you already tried to sell your car some months ago. I hope you can sell it in the new year and buy another car.

@LadyDuck Well, I could have sold it, I had offers...but buying any car I was interested in seemed like more of a commitment and cash investment than I was willing to spend. My car is inspected now, so hopefully it will go for more. The transmission is good..but other things, not so much.

I don’t think so. My rent will be going up, does that count?

Yuk, pooey...at least you have the social security increase..I changed to a new plan that is supposed to be giving me a 150.00 cash back benefit. Although not sure exactly how that will work..sounds good. I have plenty of time to find out though. It is supposed to be added to the check..but does that mean it won't be taken out initially, or put back before the next month or what. I need to ask about that.

@snowy22315 I come out $36 a year more. Social Security goes up, rent goes up, and food stamps go down. Because of that, my total increase of the year is $36. Which doesn’t bother me; I’m grateful for anything at all. $150 cash back is certainly a plus!

It's definitely hard to believe it's almost 2024. For the moment, there are a few trips we're planning. But that's it for the moment. We'll have to see what happens.

I am thinking of learning something new because this will help me have a job from home. But I don't know what should I learn. This is the only change I expect. Maybe I will find work, this is the most important for me.

Good on you for being debt free, no matter the number of days. Such a nice gift you gave yourself, congrats! I paid the last of the bills this afternoon. We've had 3 very rough years, so we are looking to 2024 to be a year of no big changes, not even little ones. We are going to approach life kindly and gently, and hope the favour will be returned
