29 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

It might be too early to say the weatherman lied. No snow yet today.
Still, there is plenty to be thankful about.
I'm thankful I got up at 3 this morning. I've managed to get a lot done so far today.
I'm thankful I got the living room and dining room vacuumed. I don't vacuum very often, but with the vacuum cleaner taken out of the closet and staring at me, I knew I better do something with it.
I'm thankful I have the dusting done for another year.
I'm thankful my neighbor's husband came and put my village pieces on top of the cupboards. They look good there.
I'm thankful I changed the furniture around in the living room. It's looking good. I'm not finished yet. I'll finish it when I post this.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Love's Illusion. It's going well.
Okay, that's what I'm thankful for today. I still have a lot to do before I call it quits. I better do it while I'm in the mood to get this all done.

So much to be thankful for, for 55 years being here on earth.
Thankful for my good parents, disciplinarians but not abusive, in any way.
Thankful for my older sister, whom I've become closer after our parents passing.
Thankful to have a daughter whom I learned some cooking techniques and even organizing.
I'm thankful for the house where we are in right now, simple but liveable.
Thankful for the convenience we experience.
Thankful for technology, because without it, communication will still be as slow as a turtle.
Technology also is the reason for better economy now, compared to when there was no modern technology, there was no way that we'll know what's going on in other countries, we'll not know about food recalls, we'll never know about the latest inventions or life-saving medicines.
Technology is the reason why we, here in MyLot are able to share our thoughts and feelings and experiences too!.
Thankful for the gift of stray cats, whom I hold dearly in my heart. Hoping they will stay safe for the rest of their lives, they are well-fed by generous people.
Thankful for the remaining nature that hopefully will never be touched by greedy businessmen.

I'm thankful my back isn't hurting right now. Got a late start; but I'm always thankful for my friends here on MyLot. I posted a Discussion this morning about a possible polar vortex bringing really cold air and ice and snow to North America in January. You might be getting your s**w soon enough! Have a good weekend and a safe and happy New Year.

You did get a lot done for the day. It is 54 here today and quit raining. So we put hamburger on the grill outside and had pork beans with them. The two kids next door wanted a hamburger so we gave them ours and put two more on the grill.

I just read that your area might have a warmer than normal January. We should be moderately warmer here also. I am thankful for that in my area.
