Do you have plans for New Year's Eve?

My downstairs neighbor and I are going to have dinner together since her son will be at his father's. I wanted to do Alaskan King Crab Legs or lobster tails but she says that she is allergic to shellfish after a COVID vaccine.
Anyway we are going to do dinner together. I think it will be filet mignon with a mustard mushroom sauce. Not sure what the sides will be. I have $200 in ShopRite gift cards so I'll buy the ingredients for New Year's and probably some lobster or Alaskan crab legs for another day.
I'm thinking I will do a risotto and some steamed asparagus as sides. Just have to run it by her. In any case we are staying in and just having dinner together. Cheaper and easier than going out. I likely won't even make it until midnight.

That just sounds delicious. I have been craving fresh asparagus, but I didn't like the looks of what I saw at the store this week, so I will wait. It's always nice to have gift cards!

That sounds great. We are having tenderloin too. Much safer than going out on the streets with revelers driving around. Hope you have a great weekend and a safe and happy New Year.

I hope you enjoy whatever you get...maybe filet mignonne would be good. Not planning anything for New Years Eve, but plan to go out for New Years Day.

Most likely stay home and watch the celebration inside the home on New Years Day.
