Surgery for uterine fibroids

China
December 30, 2023 11:47pm CST
I recently underwent a laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery and removed my 6.0cm * 5.6cm * 4.8cm uterine fibroids,On December 20th, I went to the outpatient department of the hospital to find the doctor I had made an appointment with, confirmed my condition, and decided to be hospitalized on December 25th. After hospitalization, I underwent preoperative examinations. On December 26th at 2:30 pm, I entered the operating room. At 17:10, I came out of the operating room and transferred to the ward. During the surgery, I was under general anesthesia. After the surgery, I lay in the hospital bed and the anesthesiologist installed a pain pump for me. On December 30th, I was discharged from the hospital and returned to a normal life. After the surgery, there were many precautions, such as not overworking, taking more rest, and strengthening nutrition in my diet.Cake is a gift bought by a friend to celebrate my discharge from the hospital

My friend has so many uterine fibroids that they will be doing a hysterectomy in 2024. They are pressing on her bladder, which makes her have to urinate every single hour. That would drive me nuts. I am so glad your surgery worked for you!

Yes, I also have some symptoms of frequent urination and excessive menstrual flow, so I have to undergo surgery, but I only have one uterine fibroid and the uterus can be preserved

I hope that with the surgery and removal of the fibroids that the worst is behind you. I had over 30 measureable fibroids removed when I had my c-section when our daughter was born. I was in alot of pain for months to come, I hope that is not the same for you. The cake is beautiful looking.

I only have one fibroid, and I did not have an open surgery. I did a laparoscopy, which involves drilling three holes in the stomach. It is a minimally invasive surgery. I feel much better now, but I can't do strenuous exercise. There's no problem moving around the house

I am glad that the surgery went well. I need surgery too because I have an endometrial polyp. Or maybe I have uterine fibroids too. Doctors can't tell me. Can you tell me which symptoms did you have before surgery? How was the general anesthesia? Did you have any side effects?
