New Years Eve in a hospital isn't easy.

Due tomorrow being a Holiday, George had therapy today. With their scheduling, George hasn't had his lunch yet. While his food is still on the table, it's going to be cold and even more uneatable by the time he gets to it. Because he's scheduled for OT at 12: 30, and he's not back From PT. And, while his food is still here, they took his tray, itself. I swear, they don't give you much time to do much of anything.

First time we've had a conflict. They resolved it by giving him half an hour of OT, and calling it a day.

@TheHorse Define "decent". They still have him on mush.

He gets discharged on the fifth, so that'll help.

Yeah, they can. Doesn't make him want to eat it any better.

The last 2 years I have spent so, so many hours in a hospital room, sitting with my son. It takes a lot out of a person, truly it does. You find yourself watching and hoping for any little thing that might be positive, that he is going to improve. Constant hospitalization can be very wearing on the patient, who no doubt doesn't want to be there at all, there is the constant back-and-forth trips from the hospital to home to back again, your life is down to basics.
I know you and George are more than ready to go home and see Chilly and be together. I hope the transition goes smoothly and well, Kayla.

We're getting closer, but it's still a real pain.

I hate that about health care facilities. Is it possible the nurse's station can heat it up for him?

Well that isn't good. How's a patient supposed to eat? Maybe if you bring it to their attention they will bring another.

I do wish you both a very Happy and Healthy New Year. I hope you can get something for George to eat before dinner,

Hospital staff are very insensitive I should say. It's the same condition in India.
