New day, new month, new year... same old routine.

Today marks two months since my husband, George, had his stroke. In that time he's come a long way with words, walking, and just about everything. He'll need addational therapy in order to get behind the wheel and into a normal life again. But, he's been working hard. I can have normal conversations, only occassionally misunderstanding what he's saying.Reading and writing are coming along, too. He correctly noticced that my visitor badge had yesterday's date on it.
I know I didn't hit my goal last month, but I got closer than I thought I would, what with rehab this month and being busy with therapy.

Not making your goal, is of no matter what is, is that George is improving and doing so well, Blessings to you both for the further journey. Is it this Friday that he is going home? How is Chilly?

Not meeting my goal does matter to me, because I am paying all the bills right now. His and mine. So every little bit helps. George is doing alright, and we're looking to get him out of here Friday. Tomorrow he should have speech therapy, and a few days to trail solid food. Hopefully he'll do okay with that. Because, I have nothing he can eat, and I really don't want to have to drag him shopping or around town if I don't have to.

@kaylachan stock up on easy to eat foods before you get him home like cereals, farina, oatmeal, and instant mash potatoes. He might find those easy to eat and digestible and maybe yogurts,

He has come such a long way. You seem to be doing a steller job of coping with all of this. It can't be easy.

It's not. But, while the stroke did affect him, it could've been so much worse.

Sorry to hear about your husband. When you commented I didn't realize it was your husband in the hospital. I have been a bit absent lately so I don't know what is going on with a lot of mylot folks. I am glad to hear he has made a lot of progress and pray he continues to get well and can go home soon.

He's coming along. That was pretty astute of him to notice your visitor badge had the wrong date on it. I think the big thing is for neither of your to get discouraged.

It shows how far he's come. And that he can not only read, but communicate what he's reading back to me.

It does not seem that long Kayla..but I know it seems long inside those places.
As I keep saying, roll on the time you can get out of there with George to go home.
