Thanks to social media being used to locate the persons who were supposed to receive a letter in DeKalb Ilinois in 1943 to Louis and Lavena George who live in the same city from the first cousin of the late Louis George and his late wife to send condolences of the passing of their daughter Evelyn who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis.
Jeanette who is the surviving daughter of the George family received the letter from the post office carrier in her current home in Portland Oregon around the New Year's holidays.
Jeanette and Grace are the only surviving children of their late parents are grateful that the mail carrier was able to find the address of her late parents 80 years later since the address did not have a house number on the envelope.

It was an amazing story indeed that they received a letter aimed for their late parents 40 years later.

The children who received the letter 80 years later are very happy that the letter arrived 80 years later.

Wow. I'm amazed that a 80 year old letter survived those 80 years to meet its owner.

I am in agreement with you that a letter was delivered to the relatives of the late persons that were supposed to receive the latter 80 years later.

The letter was likely in the post office archives when the postmaster used social media to locate the owners of the letter.
