Day 175
Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to everything he saw.
3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things written in it; for the time is near.
Have you ever felt that something wonderful was going to happen, but you didn’t know what? You woke with expectation on your birthday, anniversary, Christmas, and other important days in your life, but there was a different expectation in the air. You didn’t know what it was, but it would change your life forever.
John was about to reveal the revelation of Jesus Christ to the seven churches and ultimately the world. He said God would bless those who read the words of this prophecy. For added emphasis, he added his credentials, his witness to the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ and said the time was near.
As Christians, you have either read the book of Revelations and rejoiced in what you read, or you haven’t because you believe it’s too difficult to understand.
Revelations as in the rest of God’s Word contains a blessing to everyone who reads it. You might wonder what blessing because it is so different from the rest of God’s Word.
The blessing comes with reading.
There’s a special joy that comes with reading God’s Word. Whether you’re in the beginning with Genesis, or at the end with Revelation, reading brings blessings. God promises to bless you when you spend time with Him in His Word. As you read, you see and hear God’s heart for His people. You read His promises, see how God helps and protects His people, and you see the many prophecies that led to the birth of Jesus, and now, you come to the last prophecy, His return and the judgments that will come on all those who reject Him.
How can there be a blessing in judgment? The blessing is to everyone who believes and accepts Jesus as Savior and Lord. It comes to everyone who reads with the intention of understanding what God says to His people.
Do you want God’s blessing in your life? Read His Word. It’s that simple. God wants to bless you. You only need to read His Word and believe to receive His blessing.
Let’s pray: Father, let Your blessing rest on me as I read Your Word. Let Your Word fill me with your love and expectation as I wait for Your soon return. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Thank you very much for this Bible study.
I read the Bible straight through from Genesis to Revelation and then start again, so I've read Revelation several times. I do find parts if it difficult to understand, but we'll know everything when we get to Heaven.
We used to have a guy in Church who was very interested in end times prophecy. I've also read the Left Behind books and watched the films.
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

I've done an in-depth study of Revelations. It's one of my favorite books in the Bible. I've also read the Left Behind series and watched the movies.
Have a blessed day.

@just4him Thank you very much. Yes, it's good to do that. I'm on Isaiah again at the moment.
That's good. Do you have trouble understanding parts of it?
I'm glad you've read the Left Behind series and watched the movies. They're very good, aren't they?
Thank you very much. You have a blessed day too.

The writers of the Bible were inspired by God, and the books of the Bible were written in a way, that nobody writes in these days.
I agree that we should read and study scripture.
"God has breathed life into all of Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right."
(2 Timothy, chapter 3, verse 16).
