Stephen Hawking died in 2018 at the age of 76 in Cambridge, England. He had been an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author. He was a director of research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge. He held a post from 1979 to 2009 one of what is widely viewed as the most prestigious academic posts in the world as the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge. His fields of expertise were general relativity and quantum gravity. He did several stints on The Big Bang Theory so we know he had a sense of humor. Out of 15 books he wrote his most popular is the A Brief History of Time which he wrote in 1988. I would have this book on my coffee table. Just having it would be a conversation starter. What a man.
