So Disappointed

Yesterday, I called the bank and asked if they have machine that counts coins. The teller says no you'll have to roll them. You talking about a let down. Now I have to get rollers and then roll them. What a let down. The weather sucks, wish I could just hibernate and deal with warmer and nicer weather. Oh well, time for a nap. See you all later. Hope you have decent weather where you are.

I kind of thought they would do it since I brought in a bag of coins in once, and my bank took care of them. I guess next time I’ll know to get ready to roll them myself. I’m sorry they don’t have a machine that does it. I would have thought all banks had that kind of thing.

That stinks that they don't have one yet. If you would be happy with a gift card some Walmart stores have the machines. They give the full amount on a gift card or charge some if you want the cash. You could check the one close to you

The grocery stores usually have them..but they take a higher percentage than the bank ones do.

I´m sure that there are some Banks that count coins. As me, we are now in summer and although for many people it is too hot, I love it.

I bought a change wrapper at Wal Mart a few years back so when I have to wrap my coins, I use it. It makes it easier to do. Hope you got a good nap. I'll probably take one after a while.

I think it's been piss poor weather all around. Everyone who's written about the weather today either had snow, rain or both.

They have a machine at both of my banks that count change. I have a big jar that I take when it is full. Last time it had $300 in it.

Over here the banks weigh coins, thought they'd have the same in the US.

We have to roll our coins. At least we used to have to roll them. I should check with the bank. Bad weather here and more to come over the next week. Stay warm and have a good day.

Oh, I'm sorry that they don't. We have coin exchanges in some of the stores. It costs a little bit--but there are options available. I've never used one, but I have read the options on the machines. One option in some places is if you are going to spend the money in that particular store, they give you a debit/credit/gift card, and it doesn't cost to use the machine. Another option a few have is to donate your change to different organizations, etc.

I don't understand these banks. It should be a mandatory thing for their clients.

@popciclecold I am sorry about the coins and the bank. When weather is so bad outside I want to be inside too and not have to go out in it unless absolutely have to. It siad rain today but so far I see the sun is shining. I do not trust our weather people and have to check outside for myself in winter. I cannot rely on them to get the weather right so I have to check myself.

I hope you enjoyed your nap. You might need to count the coins the traditional way by counting with your hands.
