An ancient species of giant ape, Gigantopithocus blacki, became extinct due to climate change between 215,000 to 295,000 years ago. During the dry seasons their favorite fruits were unavailable; and the apes were too large to try to climb trees to explore other food sources. They were approximately 10 feet tall and up to 650 pounds. 69 days until spring. Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken, rice, squash, cauliflower, Mandarin oranges Dessert/Snack - Apple crumb pie and decaf coffee Dinner - Chicken strips and coleslaw What did you eat yesterday? Extinct? Hardly. That's Bigfoot. He's still alive and well. lol For dinner the wifey wanted Chick-Fil-A so we had it delivered. Grilled chicken sandwiches and I had mac and cheese and she had chicken noodle soup. We both had waffle fries.

That's what I was thinking too, except I don't think that Bigfoot is that tall.

@LindaOHio It depends on who is telling the story, and of course since an actual Bigfoot has never been found, I suppose it is still up for debate. But stories have him anywhere from 6 to 15 feet tall, again, depending on who is telling the story.

Under 70 days until spring, although that is just the calendar's date. Chicken strips sound good. I had country fried steak and scalloped potatoes.

Sounds like they were kinda skinny given that lions and tigers get up to 500 lbs.

@LindaOHio — they were fine, then crushing pain. However, the weathermen say it’s because of the intense, record-setting low pressure over us

So many animal species disappear every year, now mainly because of humans invading their habitat.

I had a Casper's hot dog for dinner. Too bad those apes couldn't work something out with smaller primates.

Wow, those apes were huge. I wouldn't want to meet one of those in the dark - or in the light for that matter.
